Is Cruising for me?

There are few common concerns that are offered by first time cruisers. I will address some the most frequent ones.

1. Seasickness - Can it happen? yes. If you select the new larger ships it is less likely to happen. The news ships are huge. In fact, most people can not believe the atrium's along when they first board a ship. The atrium's are equal to four and five star hotels. Probably you best options to avoid becoming sea sick is using the patch. This patch goes behind your ear and reduces the sensation of the ocean. Many people swear by it.

2. I will be Bored - There is a chance but it is very unlikely. Cruise offer many activities that you can participate in all day long. The great thing about cruises is you can do as little as you want or as much as you want. Additionally, you will get a chance to visit several ports of call to experience new destinations and cultures. Hard to beat this variety.

3. I am Claustrophobic - It is true the rooms are usually cookie cutters, however, you could opt for a room with a window or balcony. Most people do not spend much time in their rooms on a cruise. They are usually out enjoying the various activities on the ship or ashore.

Hopefully the above will ease you mind a bit.

What About Food on a Cruise?

I am sure you have heard stories that there is more food available than you can image. This is true, but you really do not have to eat the whole ship and gain weight. All cruise lines offer healthy choices and of course there is the sauna, whirlpool and gym to help keep those calories down.

When you cruise you will find that you appetite may increase. This is not uncommon. It has something to do with being out on the ocean.

For those individuals on very strict diets you can cruise too. Most cruise lines will offer restricted meals and menus. The trick is to notify the cruise line well in advance and fill out the proper forms describing your needs. Cruise Lines will do everything possible to accommodate your specials request.

Why Cruise?

One of the best reasons to go on a cruise is it offers a great value for the dollar spent. Additionally, cruises are great way for the family to have fun because there are activities for everyone on the ship and for all ages. When you add in all the options for a family including the total price of the cruise it is hard to beat. 83% of first time cruise will cruise again. That is a very high satisfaction rate.
